2010 BFA Photography - School of Visual Arts, New York, NY

In my childhood I was always simultaneously fascinated with how things worked and building nonsensical things. Photography appeals to me the most of all the art forms because its creative side is inherently married to its technical side.

I became immersed in photography after two years of pursuing a computer science degree taught me mostly that I wasn't interested in computer science. While searching for a new major, I took a smattering of fine art classes on a whim, including a photography course. Everything clicked (pun intended) and I was smitten. That was ten years ago, and my passion for taking things apart and putting them back together in new ways continues to influence my photographic work.

Recently I've been continuing some of the personal projects I began in school while taking on freelance retouching projects.
